My Bio
Dhu Maleghi “Dan” Lumeya was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and comes from a strong soccer background, with his father owning a local club in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He began playing competitive soccer at age 14 and advanced to the academy of AS Vita Club in Kinshasa, one of the country’s most recognized and successful clubs, competing through the U-18 level. His early development in a passionate football culture shaped his competitive mentality and technical foundation.
Dan continued his playing career in the United States at Fresno Pacific University, competing at the NCAA Division II level. He also played for Fresno Fuego, gaining experience in the semi-professional environment. Across his journey, he competed in amateur, collegiate, and semi-professional levels, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the player pathway in the U.S.
As a coach, Dan has worked with youth clubs throughout the Central Valley and has led both boys’ and girls’ high school programs. He currently coaches the FC Fresno Academy 2010 Black Team and serves as the Girls Head Coach at Fresno High School. Holding a U.S. Soccer C License and actively pursuing his B License, Dan is committed to continuous growth and delivering a structured, high-level development experience for players at FC Fresno Academy.
