Rogelio Ponce enters his first season with FC Fresno Academy after four years of coaching the 2018 boys age group. In his inaugural season with the club, he proudly led the 2018 Boys to a State Cup Championship in 2025 — a significant achievement that reflects his commitment to excellence and player development.

Prior to joining FC Fresno Academy, Coach Ponce coached at Albion Merced, where he guided teams to multiple championships in highly competitive, high-level tournaments. His consistent success is rooted in strong leadership, detailed preparation, and the ability to translate strategy into performance on the field.

Coach Ponce has completed all U.S. Soccer Grassroots Coaching Licenses, including 4v4, 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11. He is committed to creating high-performance training environments that prioritize long-term player development with a vision toward collegiate-level opportunities.

His coaching philosophy emphasizes technical skill development, tactical understanding, character building, teamwork, resilience, and enjoyment of the game. He strongly believes in playing as a cohesive unit, maintaining excellent sportsmanship, and helping young athletes grow both on and off the field.
